Standards
Editorial Policy
What we publish, how we check it, and what we will not do.
Sources and verification
We prefer primary and official sources: recorded documents, government sites, the organizations that manage a place. Every guide lists its sources and a review date.
Historical sales evidence
Historical examples require community identity, Mecklenburg County location, a completed residence, evidence type and date, an asking-versus-sale distinction, a source and a verification date. Historical status is never presented as current.
Listings versus area guides
Area guides describe places. They are not listings and do not imply availability. Live listings appear only through an authorized provider.
Reviews versus profiles
Directory entries are profiles. We do not publish ratings or invented reviews.
Sponsorships and hosted experiences
Sponsored content is labeled. Complimentary services never come with promised positive coverage.
Updates
Pages carry a last-reviewed date. Time-sensitive pages are flagged for refresh on a regular cycle.
